Hon Simeon Brown Minister of Health and former Prime Minister John Key highlighted the vital role of the private health sector at the opening of Endoscopy Auckland’s new purpose-built facility in Epsom.
The four-theatre, 16-bed centre sets a new benchmark as New Zealand’s first private hospital building to achieve a 5-Star Green Star Design rating, supporting faster access to essential procedures like colonoscopy (critical in diagnosing bowel cancer) and gastroscopy.
The facility is a joint venture between Evolution Healthcare and Allevia Hospitals, in partnership with Vital Healthcare Property Trust (VHP).
