Q&A with Rick

What areas of care are you particularly focused on?

Minimally invasive laser treatment of anorectal conditions, including laser haemorrhoidoplasty, laser ablation of fistula-in-ano, and endoscopy.

Is laser haemorrhoid treatment painful?

No. Laser haemorrhoidoplasty shrinks haemorrhoids from the inside while preserving the sensitive anal canal skin, resulting in significantly less postoperative pain compared with traditional procedures.

Can complex trans sphincteric fistulas in ano be treated with laser?

Yes. Laser treatment can close many trans sphincteric fistulas while preserving the anal sphincter muscles, reducing pain and lowering the risk of incontinence.

What is most important to you in patient care?

Improving quality of life while ensuring patients feel safe, heard, and respected. Many patients present after years of suffering, so providing compassionate, clear, and minimally invasive care is essential alongside technical excellence.
